Alex Rayón Jerez is currently Vice Rector for International Relations and Digital Transformation at the University of Deusto and Director of Deusto Data. He is also a professor in the area of economics and digital transformation, both in the Faculty of Engineering and the Business School of the University of Deusto. His area of interest and specialization is the digital economy in general, and several of its enabling paradigms in particular (Big Data, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, Smart Cities, Gamification, Mobile Apps, Semantic web, Linked Open Data, etc.). He holds a PhD in Computer Science and Telecommunications, having developed his doctoral thesis in the area of Big Data and Business Intelligence.
