Emma Mortimore has worked in the Scottish arts sector for over ten years and is currently Marketing Manager for The Queen's Hall, Edinburgh's premier mid-sized live music venue. Before this she was General Manager of the city's oldest cinema, the Cameo, and then freelanced for several film festivals, events, charities and cultural businesses across the Central Belt of Scotland. She was Producer of the Hippodrome Silent Film Festival (HippFest) in 2016 and 2017 and assisted with the digital edition in 2021. HippFest is Scotland's only Festival dedicated to silent cinema and live music and has taken place every March since 2011 in Scotland's oldest cinema, the Hippodrome in Bo'ness. The Festival is organised by Falkirk Community Trust with key funding from Falkirk Council, supported by Film Hub Scotland part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network, and funded by Screen Scotland and National Lottery funding from the BFI.
