Afa Sadykhly Dworkin is a violinist and since 2015 president and artistic director of the Sphinx Organization, a network that develops and supports diversity and inclusion of African American and Latin American youth in classical music. Sphinx Organization's priority goal is to make classical music and youth creative development accessible to historically excluded neighborhoods. In Sphinx, Afa works to make the classical music field look like our communities: that all young people have the opportunity to express themselves and learn classical music; that the audience reflects the people we see on our streets; and that leadership - on stage and off- includes all deserving voices.
